This is important because your gloves are made from leather and any perspiration that has gotten on to the gloves is acidic and will begin to break the leather down.

Twins Philosophy
Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) dates back to the ancient times. In those days it was better known as Muay Boran (the old style of Thai Boxing). Muay Boran encapsulated all the different styles including Muay Thai, Muay Plum, Krabi Kabong, etc. However a lot of the evidence to substantiate the exact beginnings of Muay Boran was lost during the conflict with the Burmese.

The Burmese took over Ayutthaya and burnt it to the ground. Unfortunately Ayutthaya was where all the historical records where kept relating to Thailand. However the exact date of the beginnings of Muay Boran is neither here or there. The important thing is that it was born and was used in those days to defend Siam (Thailand).

Modern Muay Thai is predominately practiced for keep fit and self defence. However it is still considered one of the most effective martial arts in the world training the hands, elbow, knees, legs and even head as weapons against opponents. In order to be able to practice Muay Thai one should have the right training equipment to protect oneself from unnecessary injuries. Over the years Twins has successfully designed a whole range of training equipment to assist in a Muay Thai practitioner’s training.

The management at Twins strongly believes in the values of Thai tradition of paying homage to the ancestors.

With a sense of obligation to them, the company is committed to preserve the roots of Muay Thai and turn them into a “fighting spirit” by developing products of excellence, to be appreciated by people around the world.

Skipping is an activity not only suited for competition or recreation, but also for a cardiovascular workout, similar to jogging or bicycle riding. This aerobic exercise can achieve a "burn rate" of up to 700 calories per hour of vigorous activity, with about 0.1 calories consumed per jump. Ten minutes of skipping is roughly the equivalent of running an eight-minute mile. Skipping for 15–20 minutes is enough to burn off the calories from a candy bar.

Skipping can avoid the knee damage which may occur during running, since the impact of each jump or step is absorbed by both legs. Jumping rope also helps strengthen the arms and shoulders. This combination of an aerobic workout and coordination-building footwork has made skipping a popular form of exercise for athletes, especially boxers, amateur wrestlers and professional wrestlers. Individuals or groups can participate in the exercise, and learning proper jump rope technique is relatively simple compared to many other athletic activities. The exercise is also appropriate for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Skipping is particularly effective in an aerobic routine combined with other activities, such as walking, cycling, or running. Many badminton players and tennis players around the world skip to increase their endurance for competitions.

With a sense of obligation to them, the company is committed to preserve the roots of Muay Thai and turn them into a “fighting spirit” by developing products of excellence, to be appreciated by people around the world.
